Electrification ConsultingIndependent advice. Genuine outcomes.QTRS offers unbiased electrification consulting. Our team has hands-on experience with every major electric refrigeration system available in Australia — including systems we do not sell. Our recommendation will be based on what is right for your fleet, not what is most convenient for us. |
To ensure our consulting remains objective and our time is committed only to serious enquiries, a consultancy fee is charged based on the scope of your engagement.A single-unit assessment requires significantly less time than a fleet-wide transition plan for 50 or 100 units. The fee will be confirmed with you before any consulting work begins.

Fleet Assessment | Routes, payloads, temperature requirements, chassis types, operational patterns |
Product and system recommendation | Which of the five electric systems and which power solution suits your fleet |
Chassis compatibility | Voltage requirements, battery capacity, charging infrastructure, mass implications |
Infrastructure planning | Shore power and depot charging requirements |
Emissions reporting | Quantifying CO2 reductions for corporate sustainability reporting and scope 1 targets |
ARENA funding guidance | Whether your project may be eligible and assistance with the application process |
Ongoing support | Continued assistance including funding application forms and submissions |
ARENA provides competitive grant funding to support clean energy adoption in Australia, including electric transport refrigeration. Eligible projects may receive up to 50% of the initial capital cost — a contribution that can significantly reduce your outlay and shorten your payback period.
ARENA funding is competitive, not automatic, and requires a structured application. QTRS can assist fleet operators in understanding eligibility and can provide support through the application process as part of our electrification consulting service.
What ARENA funding could mean for your project:
| ARENA funding is competitive and not guaranteed. Eligibility and funding rates are determined by ARENA. Visit arena.gov.au for current program information. |
Use our ROI calculator below, then contact the QTRS electrification team for a detailed consultation.
The calculator covers your current fuel and maintenance costs, chassis type (EV or ICE), route profile, ARENA funding impact, and estimated battery buyback — giving you a realistic picture of payback period and 10-year savings before committing to a consultation.
Calculator section | What it covers |
| Section 1 | Current operation | Asset type, temperature regime, fleet size, chassis type (EV or ICE), operating days/hours, route profile, door openings per hour, shore power at depot |
| Section 2 | Diesel and maintenance | Current diesel consumption, diesel cost, annual maintenance cost per unit, electricity rate, state/territory |
| Section 3 | System selection | Mitsi-POWER (system size, TRU model), Maxwell + Spark advantage.li (battery size), Nivalis e-Reefer (battery size, configuration: battery / battery+solar / battery+e-axle+solar) |
| Section 4 | Buyback and ARENA | Battery buyback (value calculated from usage hours — not shown to customer), ARENA funding (25–50% of power system cost, not guaranteed) |
| Results | Annual saving, payback period, 5-year and 10-year savings, CO2 reduction, year-by-year cumulative chart |
Results are indicative only. True system pricing and confirmed ROI will be determined following a QTRS consultation. Battery buyback requires an active QTRS service agreement. ARENA funding is competitive and not guaranteed. This calculator does not constitute financial advice.
